GRACELAND AUTHENTICATED
At Graceland, the key to everything we do is authenticity. It’s what makes the king the king, and it’s what we strive to deliver each day. Over the years, we have seen many items sold at auction that have purported to be “owned by,” “purchased by,” “given from” or “gifted to” Elvis. Under close examination by Graceland, many of these claims don’t hold up. Even when accompanied by a letter from someone that had/has an association with Elvis/Graceland, many of these items have not passed the scrutiny of the Graceland archives experts. This matters to us because we want his fans to know what is and isn’t.
Several years ago, the Archives Department started offering authentication services for just that reason and continues to authenticate utilizing the entire archives (over 1.5 million pieces of memorabilia, receipts, cancelled checks, etc.) as well as its decades of experience. We want his fans to take great care before purchasing his collectibles, and always ask if its been authenticated by Graceland.
For more information on our authentication services, including appraisals or research about the financial value of the items, reach out to Graceland Authenticated at archives@graceland.com.
